High quality, Safety Window Well Grates keep children and animals from falling into the Boman Kemp Easy-Well™.
The Safety Grate is made of rolled angle iron steel, and steel safety bars. It is designed to hold up to 600 pounds, although it’s not meant for foot traffic.
It easily slides off on a rubber grommet so that even a small child can remove the Safety Grate and climb out of the Basement Window in the event of an emergency.

FIND WINDOW WELL SIZE
Looking out from the inside, you can determine your Well size. The printing is on the right side of the Window Easy-Well™ close to the foundation.

INSTALL LADDER, GRATE AND COVER
In this video we will demonstrate how to install the Boman Kemp Safety Grate, Well Cover and Escape Ladder on a Basement Window Well.
ESCAPE LADDER
Place Escape Ladder in desired location in the well and screw 2 self tapping, metal screws into the holes provided. The Escape Ladder is now permanently affixed as per code requirements.
SAFETY GRATE
Place Safety Grate over Window Easy-Well™ opening to prevent accidental fall in. The grate sits on top and can be easily slid off to remove.
POLYCARBONATE COVER
1. First, remove protective plastic sheet from Polycarbonate Cover.
2. Locate Velcro strips and place one side on the Safety Grate and secure other side firmly on Polycarbonate Cover.
